School Meals

Breakfast Club

Start your day the healthy way at Tilery Primary School! We meet at 7.30am each morning in the dining hall, when you arrive we offer a healthy menu of cereals such as weetabix and porridge in addition to freshly made toast with a variety of toppings, we also do fresh fruit.

The cost is just £2 per day per child.

Places must be booked and paid for using Parent Pay by no later than 23:59 each Thursday for the coming week.

School Meals

School meals are cooked on site daily. School meals will cost £2.50 per day. As the school meals recording system is computerised we ask that the payment for meals (£12.50 for a full week) is paid in advance using Parent Pay on Monday of each week (or the first day of your child’s attendance in school) so that food orders can be placed by the cook.

The school operates a cafeteria system with a wide option of hot and cold meals, including salads and sandwiches.

All food is eaten in the dining area and children must remain on the premises throughout lunchtime in the care of the mid-day supervisory assistances

Packed Lunches

Children may also bring a packed lunch to school, however nut products, fizzy drinks or sweets are not permítted.  We do have children onsite with nut allergies, so we kindly ask that it is essential you do not bring nut products into school.

We ask for a weeks notice if your child wishes to change from a school meal to a packed lunch, and children should not alternate between packed lunches and school meals during the week.

Please note, to ensure that dietary requirements such as religious and allergens are accurately observed, we operate a lanyard system.  Pupils with said allergens or religions will wear a rainbow lanyard so the catering staff can easily identify children with dietary requirements.

Free school meals

Universal free school meals are provided to children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.  Free school meals are also provided to children whose families are in receipt of certain support payments.
