Tilery Primary School

We would like to welcome you to the Tilery Primary School website and invite you to find out about our school, which is located in St Ann’s Terrace, Portrack.

Governors and staff are committed within Tilery Primary School to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children in our care through all our policies, procedures and practices. We expect all our pupils’ parents and visitors to share this commitment and understanding.

Our school has a Nursery and Reception which forms our Early Years Foundation Stage. Y1 and Y2 form Key Stage 1, and 5 classes form Key Stage 2 – Y3, Y4, Y5 and Y6.

Not only do we provide good teaching, we also have a wide range of extra-curricular activities which our pupils thoroughly enjoy. There is something for everyone.

We also provide a breakfast club and an after school club for our pupils. These are very competitively priced, to allow parents to have flexibility in their day, whether for further study or for employment.

Our School Ethos

Our school will be a welcoming place where everyone is valued and works in partnership, sharing high expectations and responsibilities. It will meet the diverse needs of our community in a sensitive, caring and respectful manner, providing a safe and stimulating environment where friendship, trust and understanding are nurtured.
To ensure that each child has the opportunity to fulfil their potential, we will provide a broad and balanced curriculum which encompasses every aspect of school life, raising standards and celebrating the achievements of all.

Our Aims

To value all members of the school community.
To create a stimulating and challenging environment.
To develop the whole child, emotionally, spiritually, socially, academically and physically.
To equip children with the skills, knowledge and understanding to enable them to become good citizens.
To involve all families in the learning process by fostering positive attitudes and sharing expectations of work and behaviour.
To provide a broad and balanced curriculum accessible to all.

There is so much more to tell you but why not find out for yourself.
